Unconditional Love in Person

My sister in law passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015.   She was diagnosed with breast cancer seven years ago, bone cancer a year ago and just recently it had spread. She was 59 years old.

Her memorial service was Wednesday and her adult children planned a lovely service. Connie had donated her body to science, which was characteristic of her loving heart. Continue reading Unconditional Love in Person

I Don’t Like Her…She Hurt my Feelings!

I don’t like some people. And when someone hurts my feelings… it is hard to get over.

There, I said it. There are some people that I know that are self centered, selfish, self absorbed….I am noticing a pattern here. Or it just may be someone who has a different personality than me..and I don’t like them.

So what is a parent to do when a child makes that kind of statement….”I don’t like her, she is not my friend.” “She hurts my feelings all the time!” Continue reading I Don’t Like Her…She Hurt my Feelings!

God’s Living Word

bible-138977_640

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

The last few days in particular God’s word has filled my head.

His Word is indeed living.

I’ve watched my sister in law, Connie suffer and the pass into eternity after suffering from the hideous disease of cancer.

And my heart has been filled with HIS incredible peace and love. I heard His words over and over. Bits and pieces of scripture, entire scripture verses…the word of God, so alive and active.

…….Great is Thy Faithfulness….His love endureth forever…what can separate us from the love of God…His strength is perfect…perfect love cast out all fear…He has gone to prepare a place for you…I am the resurrection and the life…death has been swallowed up in victory….for we fix our eyes on what is eternal…even though I walk through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil…to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord….He is the rock…

His Word Is Living.

His WORDS kept speaking to me over and over! I helped my great niece clean and dress her grandmother with the aide of a nurse after her passing.  GOD’s presence was so real. I could not do that in and of myself…and this granddaughter did so with the most care and love…GOD’s presence.

He is LIFE. Without HIM I am nothing.

I simply cannot imagine going through any pain without HIM. My life has been full of trials…life. As with many of you of course. And Christ has proven He has never left me. He will never leave…

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Read His word….get to know Him and His character, His personality. Allow Him to speak to you. HE wants to minister to you. He loves you.
