Unconditional Love in Person

My sister in law passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015.   She was diagnosed with breast cancer seven years ago, bone cancer a year ago and just recently it had spread. She was 59 years old.

Her memorial service was Wednesday and her adult children planned a lovely service. Connie had donated her body to science, which was characteristic of her loving heart.

I was invited by the children to present part of the eulogy, and the Lord kept leading me to “unconditional love”.  That was Connie, a caretaker of everyone she came in contact with and a person who loved everyone she met with unconditional love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

That verse sounds just like my sister in law; yet she would not want me to say that. It sounds like Jesus. And that is synonymous with love.

Jesus Christ. The only King who died for his people….
Jesus Christ. The only King who was a servant….
Jesus Christ. The only King who came in the form of a man to save his children…
Jesus Christ. The only King without an earthly home to lay his head….

Jesus Christ
The only KING who loves His children without condition. A perfect love.

Connie knew this…and she surrendered her life to Him. She was ready for her eternal home and loved everyone around her on her way to that place!!

Unconditional love..that is indeed what draws all men unto Him!
