In Just Two Days!

A couple of weeks ago I wrote that “Unexpected Gifts”, my book was finished.  I have proofed it again after two rounds of editing, so there are still a lot of corrections that need to be done.   I was taking time off from blogging to get it ready for publishing Before our first grandchild arrived.

Well she had other ideas.  She arrived a couple of weeks early and is now two days old.  So much for the book!  But she already inspired me to complete it, and I will publish it soon through her inspiration. Continue reading

It is Finished! Amazon Publishing I am on my Way!

Hey there friends!

I am taking a little break from my blog for a couple of weeks.  I finally finished my book, “The Unexpected Gifts” or “Unexpected Gifts” .  I keep going back to the second as the title.  I have completed another proof read, and now going back to update and edit…again 🙂

It is amazing how many things I had to change because of dialogue, time, tense.  Whew.  It will never be perfect, but hopefully good enough that you will want to read it non-stop!

So, until then…..Unexpected Gifts Ebook Cover-3My 30-year-old goal to write a book and publish it is almost completed.  I will be self publishing on Amazon if anyone has any tips and prayers, I would appreciate them!!

~The Ocean Series~ Seashell Day

Walking up and down the seashore is a stroll in paradise for those of us who collect shells.

There are some beaches that are better than others, but one can always finds shells of some kind. It indeed becomes a treasure hunt of sorts.

When my husband and children would see them, we would pick them up and examine them. If that shell was whole, we would place it in our collector bag. If the shell was broken, we discarded it,  finding no worth in keeping it.

One year I started picking up the broken ones…and keeping them. The kids were not quite sure why I would do that until I shared some ideas with them…glue them on mirrors, frames, etc.

I am so glad that the Father did not discard me when He found me broken. I can see my Abba walking down the shore, picking up every shell and piece of shell. It doesn’t matter the shape, size or color. Each one is precious to Him. None are discarded. He gently picks them up and places them in his pocket to examine in greater detail later. Each one is special, each one will have a place.Psalm 34_18

The Father uses His creation to teach us so much!  Seashells by the seashore! Some are broken, battered and in small pieces that don’t even appear have been part of a shell.  And yet, we have been  broken, battered and sometimes we are not recognizable. Still Father finds us…and let’s us know that we are of use. We are loved. He gently restores us and and loves us…just as we are……

So next time you are walking along that beach…pick up the shells and don’t forget the pieces.
