Simple Mothering

 

Did you know that there are ten top reasons being a Mother is so easy?

I am sure you can add a few!

 

10.) Who else can fold clothes, talk on the phone, feed the baby and clean up spilt milk…at the same time?

9.) Who knows one can actually get by with bathing only twice a week and smell ok?

8.) Who knows which streaming video can be played and occupy at least 22.5 minutes of time so you can have 22.5 minutes to complete a task you started 24 hours ago? Continue reading

Thankful for Teachers’ Hearts

I was a special education teacher, as well as a homeschooling mom in my previous life.  In other words…another lifetime ago.  Or so it feels….

I received some encouragement the other day about a former student from several years ago who graduated and is going on to college.  I was thrilled and he and his mom made me feel like I made a difference in his life.  I used to work only with children with “learning disabilities” or “differences” as I liked to say, and my students often times had trouble getting through high school. So to see some of them make it has always warmed my heart! Continue reading

What? I have a 30 Year old Child?

He was the little guy who first made me a Mommy. He was the first human being to really teach me what “unconditional love” meant. I thought I knew….then he was born. So when the second one arrived, I was prepared and understood how that love multiplied and didn’t divide. Continue reading
