Which side of the Coin?

 

I am sure you have heard this: “There are two sides to every coin?

Most of us have been on both sides at one time or another.  

An employee/employer.  

Child/Parent….my favorite!  Sometimes around your parents, you feel like a twelve-year-old again.   Or when you get around your own children and they like to tease and make you feel like a very old woman!

 I have been a student, a public school teacher, a new mom, a homeschooling mom, a mom of public/private school teenagers, and a public school teacher, partially retired…in that order.  I have been on both sides of the coin, maybe several coins.  Often those coins were shiny…but sometimes very dull and scratched! Hiding from Trouble

My eldest son is a graphic designer, and I saw it coming when he was a little boy.

He loved to pick up his crayons to color and draw…on the blank slate in the hallway. Let me rephrase that…on the wall in the hallway. His imagination was always in full gear and that blank, white wall was too inviting. It became his canvas.

One day I walked down the hall and spotted it. “Not the place son, let’s wash it off.” After a lengthy scrubbing session,  warning and correction, I assumed he had learned his lesson. Silly me. His three-year old mind somehow did not grasp the fact that he was not to draw or color on ANY wall in the house.

Simple Mothering

 

Did you know that there are ten top reasons being a Mother is so easy?

I am sure you can add a few!

 

10.) Who else can fold clothes, talk on the phone, feed the baby and clean up spilt milk…at the same time?

9.) Who knows one can actually get by with bathing only twice a week and smell ok?

8.) Who knows which streaming video can be played and occupy at least 22.5 minutes of time so you can have 22.5 minutes to complete a task you started 24 hours ago? Continue reading Simple Mothering
