Simple Acceptance

Have you ever been around a new born at birth? I have been a birthing coach a few times, had my own sons…so this is melded in my heart. It cries…it is expected to cry and should cry. Do you know what usually calms that cry? It is actually a a rather universal solution….place that child in its’ momma’s arms. You will hear the soothing whispers of that mother and soon those cries disappear.

A three year old says “look what I did Mommy” This child wants Mommy to see what he did! He wants her to be proud of him.

The teen years pose a somewhat different need. Acceptance by friends and peers. Wear the right clothes, say the correct things. Continue reading Simple Acceptance

No, I am not writing about making change at a cash register…

although I could write an entire blog on the “inability” of people to actually

make change without the aide of the computer…and then I might be border line “Common Core”

…..so I will save that one!

Don’t do it.

I have regrets as a parent…

…and I would change some things that I did…

One regret:  My reaction to….

the  “Momma Bear Syndrome”.

You’ve all been stricken with it at some point or another.
