Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep….

“Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep…if I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take…”

I recited that prayer every single solitary night when I was a child until I was around 12 years old (if my memory serves me well, which is sometimes up for debate). I truly believed that if I didn’t recite it that the Lord wouldn’t take me to heaven when I died.

I Don’t Like Her…She Hurt my Feelings!

I don’t like some people. And when someone hurts my feelings… it is hard to get over.

There, I said it. There are some people that I know that are self centered, selfish, self absorbed….I am noticing a pattern here. Or it just may be someone who has a different personality than me..and I don’t like them.

Children and Dealing with Death

Death….

…..unfortunately is a part of life.

My sister in law passed away last night in her home surrounded by her adult children and loved ones. She had suffered from that evil disease cancer for too long. She fought the good fight.

But how does one deal with death and young children? How do we teach them that as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we do NOT have to fear death?
