Simple Responsibility

You started it, you finish it.

Our rule was simple.

You start something, you finish it.

You get out the legos, you put them up when you are finished. Cereal and milk? Better not be left on the cabinet.

I am going to make some pretty bold statements here. I have had this conversation with a number of people lately, and I share it here.
Don’t look to the institution of the church, your “Sunday go to meeting” place to give you what you need to make it through the week.

Simple Blink

Don’t do it.

Blink….

Seriously.

There was a time in my life when I thought I couldn’t blink enough times nor quick enough!!

I was knee deep in cheerios, literally. This “type A” personality gal tried so hard to organize the toys in color coded, labeled bends. That way they could be read by the boys as they “picked up” after themselves …….which I eventually considered to be a lesson well taught if one or two items a piece ended up in the proper location.

Sleeping became a luxury…..a dream….

Redefined as any amount of time that equaled 4 hours or more..straight. Funny, now I often go to bed and wake up 4 hours later, read and think nothing of not getting a full night’s sleep. I can always rest during the day. Continue reading Simple Blink →
