Encouragement for Today~In today's world of swirling circumstances, we need to be reminded of how much we are loved by God.

Repel to Climb!

repelling-2

Have you ever repelled down the side of a cliff?

Or better yet, looked up to climb a mountain?

Lowering yourself along the side of a cliff to reach the bottom is easier it seems…but climbing up a mountain can be a struggle. You feel like the air has been knocked out of you.

Have you ever felt like the air has been knocked out of you emotionally?  I have and I cried.

Does it mean that I don’t trust the Father to take care of these issues? No of course not…but I believe that He created us with emotions and sometimes we have to experience those emotions, repel down into the fear and emotions…so we can climb back up and grab on to the faith and…..

……Just Breathe……

The climbing hurts. It would be so much easier to just stay at the bottom!  Climbing can cause a shortness of breath, often pain…but we can count on God to help us breathe again. The pain may remain for a time. The pain is real.

But so is my God. My Abba. My Daddy.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”Deuteronomy 31:6

He will get you through it. He has always proven  faithful and He will not stop now.

Does this hit close to home today?  It is ok.  Don’t wallow in the emotion, but by all means…it is okay to feel. Don’t even be ashamed to feel. You can feel bad. You can feel upset. You can worry. You can be down.

Just don’t stay there.

Inhale, exhale..….and climb on up……He’s there to give you air.

I love Jesus. If I say nothing else, that is enough. But for those curiosity seekers, I am a 56 year old former special education teacher, current part time CCM Radio Announcer who is married to her high school sweetheart. We have been together for 40 years, married 37 of those years! We have raised two sons, who are now married, have jobs and mortgages. We have our furry son, a West Highland Terrier. It wasn't always easy, and I like sharing some insights from those "mommy" and "teaching" years. I also want to encourage people in their daily life. I believe that the Father speaks to us all the time, sometimes I have been too busy to listen. Even during times of trials and troubles, He is ever present. ~Be Encouraged Today~
