Knowledge Caught

Could I get a show of hands…who is tired of winter? Just what I figured, 99.9% of us. Those of you in that .1%…bless your heart.

I am amazed by the weather and all the variables that go into it. I blog about it a lot it seems. I guess I could have been a weather person, but I do not like math and science, so it probably wouldn’t have worked.

Our children have many likes and dislikes and interests. As parents, it is up to us to allow them to pursue those interests. We never know how those things might play out in their future. My youngest always liked numbers and loved sports and now he has a career that include both areas. My eldest was always the artist and again, he was fortunate to have a career in design. Simple Freedom

I take it for granted.

I think a lot of us do quite frankly.

Have you ever let your kids catch a creek turtle and keep it in an old fish bowl? We did that several times in our home. And each time the boys were convinced that they could keep the turtle in their room and it would remain healthy and happy.

The first experience they had did not prove this statement to be true. It died. I cannot remember its’ name. But it was sad. And it wasn’t the last. Continue reading Simple Freedom

Simple Creation Lesson

Stop, look…..

                     out your front door.

We just got back from a vacation in Southwest Florida and God reminded me over and over how incredible His creation is…and that I so often take it for granted.

Maybe it is my age..but things look brighter, I see more details, creation indeed sings His praises.

What a great “kid” activity!
1.) Have your children go outside with a camera…a disposable one works great.
