True Freedom

Our freedom as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ is not based upon our government..although I am so grateful to live in this nation.

My freedom is based on who I am in Christ. In HIM my true freedom lies.

Romans 8:1-4 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”

Guess who works

IN us….

THROUGH us….. and FOR us?

And THROUGH whom do we have victory?

Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the Life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

1 John 4:12 “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”

1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Once we surrender…He works. We are never left alone in any situation or circumstance. We always have an advocate. He is always working for our good. He has taken His position.

Once we get to that place…that place of total surrender we realize that there is simply no other way to live. We learn that being totally dependent on Him is how our life is victorious.

So often we don’t acknowledge that position in our lives. We are promised eternal salvation, but choose not to live in that peace daily. The peace HE can only provide.

Friends, it’s not about us. It’s about HIM.

Living that life surrendered and peaceful in the midst of any situation or circumstance points others to JESUS Christ. And we are able to live in a content state that can only be explained by His peace.

I hurt for people. But often times I do not share the answer when all I have to do is let Him live IN me, THROUGH me and FOR me.

I’m not sure others want what I have, but I never want it to be because of me getting in the way. In a world that is hurting so….we as believers have the real answer.
