We are ALL in Pieces…
It is so easy…..
…….To point out other’s mistakes, sins, problems.
But I have found that if I just look in the mirror, that becomes a little harder to do.
Friends, we are ALL broken and in pieces in some way. We all deal with “missing the mark”. We each have those things in our lives that should not be there. We do things we shouldn’t do, and try not to do…but do it anyway. Even Paul admitted to it. It is called “flesh”.
Romans 7:15-20 “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.”
I am so grateful that even in my brokenness, my own personal puzzle…the Father sees Jesus. Jesus Christ is my salvation, my healer, my provider, my deliverer, my perfection, my life…the Truth.
My surrendered brokenness gives me life. I cannot do it on my own. I do not have the ability in and of myself to be anything but broken. But in that brokenness…my life is His.
Friends…JESUS CHRIST loves you. He loves you just as you are…and He will put those broken pieces back together. You must surrender to that love…HIS love is like no other. Accept His free gift, eternal salvation. It is for you.
And this is the part I like the best…we won’t look like a puzzle in which the edges of the pieces show through..we look like a brand new portrait.
2 Corinthians 5:16-19 “So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”
I am so glad the Father sees Jesus in me, and not what I think I sometimes see….
