I love Jesus. If I say nothing else, that is enough. But for those curiosity seekers, I am a 61 year old former special education teacher, current part time CCM Radio Announcer and author... who is married to her high school sweetheart. We have been together for 44 years, married almost 41 of those years! We have raised two sons, who are now married, have jobs and mortgages. AND...we became grandparents to a beautiful baby girl in 2018!! We also have our furry son, a West Highland Terrier. My heart's desire is to encourage people in their daily life. I believe that the Father speaks to us all the time, sometimes I have been too busy to listen. As Thanksgiving Day Approaches….

I must say that I am grateful for you……

Lift that Load with Thanksgiving!

Lifting that Load…..

I was watching a backhoe the other day in a field near our home. It was scooping dirt, lifting it, turning and placing it in a pile behind itself. It moved with precision and did quite a bit of work. No wonder our boys loved watching these type of machines work when they got a chance!

It was quite mesmerizing actually. Boy, it sounds like I need to get a life!

But I got to thinking about our loads…..

Wouldn’t it be great if we could just scoop them up and dump them behind us?

Thanksgiving Day Activities for Children

There are always plenty of activities for children the week of Thanksgiving. A simple Google search will produce a plethora of choices! So I will add a couple of my own.

Practice Thanksgiving more than the week of the holiday. That is good advice for all of us. Being thankful produces benefits for us that we aren’t totally aware of unless we are not doing it!
