Snow People Love

It is unseasonably warm throughout some of the country right now. But snow is still on the minds of many as we get close to Christmas. I am no exception. I have been making all kinds of snow people even though I am a summer gal!

Each of these little creations are different. As the “Type A” personality that I seem to be, I do not like anything I create to be “just like” another. Even when I decorate, I cannot stand things to be “even”. This causes a bit of disagreement with my husband. So I think I am the “lesser Type A Personality.” But that is another blog post!

These little snow people are just like us. Different. Our shapes, sizes, colors, likes, dislikes, politics, beliefs, values and so much more. But I really like them all.

Snow People Love

I wonder if the Father sees us like I see them? Are we liked by God? Much less, are we loved by Him?

Well, we were created by HIM. He makes no mistakes. People indeed make choices in how they are going to act or believe. But we are loved. And He is Love.

Are there things I don’t understand that go on in this world? Of course. I have some of my own thoughts, but I won’t share them in this post.

I just choose to believe that we are loved…as individuals. Knit together in a special way that makes us unique. We each have a purpose.

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” 1 John 4_16

Some will argue with me that we need to be told we are horrible sinners over and over and not be told again we are loved. While I agree I was a sinner, upon my accepting of Christ as my Savior, he now sees me through those eyes…Christ’s eyes. What Christ did on the cross covered it.

So I ask those people…do you tell your children they are loved only one time and leave it at that? Do you constantly remind them how disappointed you are in their behavior from two weeks ago?

That is ridiculous. People need to be reminded that they are loved by a heavenly Father. They need to be reminded that He loves them with all their blemishes and problems. That unconditional love is what draws people unto Him.

Unconditional love…then He can change a life.

And this world needs more of that.

IN CHRIST ALONE
