My life has really been dedicated to children. I had a baby sister that is ten years younger than me that I actually thought was my real life doll baby. I took her with me everywhere I went and loved taking care of her.

I also babysat in my teens, and knew when I was in eighth grade I wanted to be a teacher/missionary. Which is funny in retrospect because even though I never made it to Zimbabwe, I believe that I was a “missionary” of sorts, as are many teachers. Continue reading Coloring Books, Crayons and Jesus

Each One is……

A New Day

We get to have a “Day One” over and over. His mercies are new each and every day!

I have been thinking about new beginnings and starting all over a lot lately. With the onset of school, and as a former educator, I believe that every student deserves to start over. Each one deserves a “new day.” We can have a new day each and every day! Continue reading Each One is……

Summer “Sing”

The story behind it....

It is no secret that I am moved by music. Even though I could never learn how to play the piano (my mom is a gifted artist), I did sing on a praise team or two.

I announce music on a contemporary Christian radio station and am able to be around it a lot. The love of God is presented through the music and the message and brings me such peace. Continue reading Summer “Sing”
