DaDa

I heard the voice of God and a one word sermon in a little girl’s voice. The graphic on the screen read…”Hello, my name is…God”. The series on just who He is was coming to an end. As the pastor opened the sermon in prayer, I heard the voice of a sweet toddler.

“Dada, Dada”

The Aramaic word used by young children when addressing their father was Abba. It was not used by the Jews because of the familiarity. Jesus used the word to indicate the Father/Son relationship with God.

The closest English equivalent to Abba is exactly Daddy, but Dada – a baby’s earliest attempt to name its father is so fitting.

“Dada”

My Abba, my Daddy, my Father, my God.

One precious word coming from a sweet little girl as she reached for her daddy.

The voice of God’s love in one word.

Embrace it. He loves YOU.

And yet……

Here he sits. Continue reading Here He Sits

I decided to write a letter to the 86 year old me….. Continue reading Dear Older Me,
