Our True Freedom

When did you declare your independence?  We celebrate America’s independence on July 4th, but when do you celebrate yours?  It is rather ironic isn’t it? It is really in our “dependence” on the Father that we are free.  It seems like we are always looking for “freedom” to do what we want, when we want it…and yet, if the hole we have in our spirit is not filled with Christ, our quest will never be over.  We will constantly be looking for that next thing that we think will make us happy….a better spouse, a better job, more money, a bigger house, our children’s lives…our identity has to be in Christ and nothing else or we will be miserable.  I speak from experience.

May you enjoy your day and celebrate your true freedom….that freedom IN CHRIST ALONE.
