About T.W. Allgaier

I love Jesus. If I say nothing else, that is enough. But for those curiosity seekers, I am a 61 year old former special education teacher, current part time CCM Radio Announcer and author... who is married to her high school sweetheart. We have been together for 44 years, married almost 41 of those years! We have raised two sons, who are now married, have jobs and mortgages. AND...we became grandparents to a beautiful baby girl in 2018!! We also have our furry son, a West Highland Terrier. My heart's desire is to encourage people in their daily life. I believe that the Father speaks to us all the time, sometimes I have been too busy to listen. Even during times of trials and troubles, which seem endless right now in 2021, HE is present and loves us unconditionally. Thanks for reading. ~Be Encouraged Today~

DaDa

I heard the voice of God and a one word sermon in a little girl’s voice. The graphic on the screen read…”Hello, my name is…God”. The series on just who He is was coming to an end. As the pastor opened the sermon in prayer, I heard the voice of a sweet toddler.

“Dada, Dada”

The Aramaic word used by young children when addressing their father was Abba. It was not used by the Jews because of the familiarity. Jesus used the word to indicate the Father/Son relationship with God.

The closest English equivalent to Abba is exactly Daddy, but Dada – a baby’s earliest attempt to name its father is so fitting.

“Dada”

My Abba, my Daddy, my Father, my God.

One precious word coming from a sweet little girl as she reached for her daddy.

The voice of God’s love in one word.

Embrace it. He loves YOU.

*Day after update: Two people lost their lives in our area, and many homes, vehicles destroyed.  Scary stuff…be safe if you are in the path of these storms*

We are currently under a number of storm warnings and most of the impact could be felt after 11 pm. Uh, no…..I would rather be asleep. This might be an interesting evening. Continue reading Waiting for the Storms

Too Much Salt?

too-much-salt

You are sitting at the table with all of your friends needing to salt your fries.  Everyone watches with a peculiar interest as you pick up the shaker…your fries now have the entire salt shaker contents on them. So much for eating those fries or preserving them!  Continue reading Too Much Salt?
