About T.W. Allgaier

I love Jesus. If I say nothing else, that is enough. But for those curiosity seekers, I am a 61 year old former special education teacher, current part time CCM Radio Announcer and author... who is married to her high school sweetheart. We have been together for 44 years, married almost 41 of those years! We have raised two sons, who are now married, have jobs and mortgages. AND...we became grandparents to a beautiful baby girl in 2018!! We also have our furry son, a West Highland Terrier. My heart's desire is to encourage people in their daily life. I believe that the Father speaks to us all the time, sometimes I have been too busy to listen. Even during times of trials and troubles, which seem endless right now in 2021, HE is present and loves us unconditionally. Thanks for reading. ~Be Encouraged Today~

Weeds

I love growing flowers in my yard and I have way too many.  You can ask my husband who helps me water.

I don’t love growing weeds.  And evidently, they do not need water.

Weeds remind me of trials, tribulations, problems, just the icky part of life that sometimes walks right in and makes itself at home.  No water needed, no fertilizer or particular soil.

So when I saw these weeds the other day at the edge of the creek the Father reminded me of a simple truth.

Sometimes those weeds can become pretty flowers.

Sometimes those things in our lives that bring us pain, frustration, and trouble can turn into the most beautiful part of our life.

I had to stop and think about that for a minute.

Sometimes those weeds end up being the favorite part of our yard.

And all along I thought it was just a weed.

TROUBLES, TRUE, TRUST

***I wrote this five years ago.  Interestingly it is the basis scripture of my book series now, and His word is always timely. Our Abba Father is like that…***

Everyone has them…no one is exempt.

Jesus told us that we would have them.  Whether it is a health issue, financial troubles, family problems, school issues…trouble surrounds us in one form or another. I don’t believe that any one problem is anymore worth of His attention than another.  They ALL warrant His love and attention.  What might seem trivial and unimportant to me, might not to someone else….and I truly believe that because He loves us, He cares about our troubles.

The difference comes in how we handle these troubles.  THAT is it!  It is not about how WE handle them…but do we surrender them and turn them over to the Father?  Do we rest in HIM, even though the trouble seems to remain?

Interestingly enough, as I was looking in the back of my Bible in the Concordance…these were the alphabetical listings surrounding the topic “trouble”.

Trials, Tribulation, Triumphal, Triumphant, Trouble, True, Trust…hmmmm.  How cool is that?  We will have those trials, tribulations and troubles.  But it is true that we can be triumphant, as He is true and we can trust Him!  Isn’t it wonderful how all those words together can bring us peace..IN HIM!

Trust me when I say that emotions are real…and we will deal with them.  I believe the Father gave us these emotions to deal with our troubles…but HE wants to carry them for us.  We just have to let go and let HIM.

Oh how I need to be reminded of this today!

It is SIMPLE…..Teachers: YOU make a DIFFERENCE!

inspire-teach-change

School has started.

I have been out of the profession for at least six years now. I know that I made an impact on some of my students’ lives over the years.

In spite of the struggles you face with the things that are so difficult these days, be encouraged as you teach another year.

Because

Once upon a time…

I was one of those students.

My parents divorced when I was in eighth grade and for many years before that had marital problems. I enjoyed talking to my teachers and doing well, but I struggled emotionally.

I had several teachers that spoke “life” to me.  Just like you do today.

I had a P.E. teacher who allowed me to be her assistant. She let me talk and she listened.  She was someone I admired and she encouraged me to believe in myself.

I had a science teacher who allowed me to babysit her son!  She knew that my “babysitting” jobs helped with our household finances, and she trusted me with her own child. She helped build my confidence.

These ladies made me want to teach. The Lord used them in my life go from “victim” to “victor”.

YOU do make a difference, and I thank you. I know it is difficult sometimes, I know that there are many reasons to complain, but you need to know that YOU are making a difference.

I applaud you. I know many of you feel “called” into the ministry of teaching. The law can say all it wants about God not being in schools….but He is there. HE is there because YOU are there. You love your students.
