Pinterest boards can prove very interesting. I just created one called “Refashioned Fun” and of course have “Repurposed and Reuse”, not to mention “Everything Deserves a Second Chance.”

As I stare at the “items” off to the right on my craft table, and the old sweaters from the thrift shop excursion today…I wonder if they will turn out like all my “pins”.

Maybe.
Maybe not.

Nothing is promised. I will just try and do what I can with these ideas. I will tweak them with my ideas. And they may turn out, and they may not.

And it’s ok. I will do the best I can….

I am so glad that my relationship with Christ doesn’t have anything to do with my “trying” to copy someone else’s behavior or be “good enough” for Him to love me. And that I can tweak my own behavior by simply surrendering it to the one who lives His life through me.

And how cool is it that the creator Himself was the original “Repurposer”? The Father Himself can take those errors in judgment, those times that we “miss the mark” and mess up and “reuse” and “repurpose” them for His glory and good.

And of course these repurposed things are brand new!

And those horrible things that come into our lives as we live it out on this unredeemed earth can be used as well. He can repurpose all that was intended for evil…..

I am grateful that He can use us over and over. Even if we mess it up the first time, and the second. There is always “new” in the mess when the Father gets a hold of it!

So excuse me while I try and make a tunic out of this man’s XL shirt!
