Stop it!
Right now.
You are a great mother. You are doing the best you can.
I have noticed that the young moms often are so hard on themselves. These are a few comments that I often hear…
I should spend more time with my kids.
I should spend more quality time with my kids.
I should spend less time with my kids as a group and more individualized time.
I should spend more money on my kids.
I should spend less money on my kids and more time teaching them about the value of money.
I should be a better example of Christ to my kids.
I should teach my children more stories from the Bible.
I should teach my children at home.
I should send my children to public school.
I should not get upset with my children.
I should discipline them in a different way.
I should give an allowance.
I shouldn’t give an allowance.
I should never shout at my kids.
I should talk more sternly to my children.
Hmmmmmm…
Moms…you are doing a great job. Don’t compare yourself to others. Don’t look at the other parents and think they have it all together. They don’t. They are not being honest if they say they do!
The struggle is real. And God is right there by your side. He loves your children even more than you do!
God has created you to be you. Do the best you can…love your children unconditionally. They will grow up and make their own choices someday…it is almost guaranteed.
So stop! Quit being so hard on yourself. Enjoy the moments…
