As many people witnessed the “Great American Solar Eclipse” yesterday, so many things went through my mind. We were fortunate enough to be in the path of totality. It was like nothing I expected. No one can prepare you for that phenomenon. The glory of God revealed. Perspective in who we are and who HE IS!
Day became night. Stars appeared, crickets chirped, and cheers went up from all those around to witness this incredible event .
And there was a time of about 2 minutes that everyone was pretty well focused on the heavens. No one was really protesting, no one was angry. For a few minutes we came together and forgot about ourselves. It may sound trite to some….but only God could do that for a nation. And it is something we would do good to remember.
Oh Heavenly Father…may we fix our eyes on You.
And even the evening sky suggested the trend should continue…..
