About T.W. Allgaier

I love Jesus. If I say nothing else, that is enough. But for those curiosity seekers, I am a 61 year old former special education teacher, current part time CCM Radio Announcer and author... who is married to her high school sweetheart. We have been together for 44 years, married almost 41 of those years! We have raised two sons, who are now married, have jobs and mortgages. AND...we became grandparents to a beautiful baby girl in 2018!! We also have our furry son, a West Highland Terrier. My heart's desire is to encourage people in their daily life. I believe that the Father speaks to us all the time, sometimes I have been too busy to listen. Even during times of trials and troubles, which seem endless right now in 2021, HE is present and loves us unconditionally. Thanks for reading. ~Be Encouraged Today~

Encouraging Fiction/Non Fiction

I am thinking.  Which can be problematic for me sometimes. LOL

If you are a writer, you might be a reader.  Not just a “one book at a time reader” either.books-1757734_1280

How many of you raised your hands?

I just finished five books, and yes I have been reading two at a time.  Yes, I am writing my third novel. Yes, I am trying to blog.  That is why my third novel is not done.  Another LOL!

But I decided to share these with you because I did find value in them.  I may even have to have a page on my blog/website to share more often.  I will provide links as well.

I just finished Jodi Picoult’s

Hardback: The Storyteller

Kindle Edition:The Storyteller

Paperback: The Storyteller

Audible Trial:The Storyteller

It was a story that was woven into three stories.  I had to stay focused, but it was not hard to do. I actually took a trip and “listened” to part of it on audiobook, which was a first.  I told my son I actually crossed over to the “dark side” since he and his wife read this way all the time. However,  I ended up finishing it the old fashioned way.

Everyone reads books and gets different messages.  The book’s main focus was on the Holocaust.  The book contained different characters from different times in history with fact and fiction mixed within. In my opinion, the question of evil and whether we are all capable was woven throughout.  But the focus on grace and forgiveness were paramount in my opinion.

May be worth a read!

I just finished Karen Kingsbury’s Angels Walking Series

I will offer some info about it next time!

4 Words

I use words.  A lot.

I am a one time teacher, an author, a blogger…

A wanna be wordsmith.

I was the one student in school who raised their hand without knowing the answer because I felt bad for the teacher.

So these four words were spoken to my heart.

At an important time.

I listened.

 I pray, I ask

I wait.

With….Closed Mouth

Breathing (Guest Post from my dear friend, Laura Miles)

This is a guest post from my dear friend, Laura Miles.  Thanks for allowing me to post your meaningful words.

I’ve been focusing on breathing lately. We don’t normally see our breath. It’s something that just happens without even thinking about it. In the cold months, we actually get to see it. We are made aware of it in a different way. We actually see what comes out of our mouths because circumstances have changed around us. What was once warm, comfortable air has become cold and biting. We haven’t changed, the circumstances that we live in has. What if we could see our words that come out of our mouth? What if the visual effect were there? What if those words, that breath, were thought about and noticed? What if you could see what circumstances did to our words? What if that cold, biting circumstance made us aware of those words? What if no matter what the circumstances are, the words/breath were carefully considered? Life makes it where you can barely take a breath sometimes…BUT if we focus on the breath that we have and the words that we speak, life can be easier to handle. It can be easier on us and the ones around us. Life is hard. Life is good. Life is fleeting. Life can change in a breath.adult-beautiful-beauty-321576
