Encouragement for Today~In today's world of swirling circumstances, we need to be reminded of how much we are loved by God.

I Can See Clearly Now

It used to just be reading glasses…

Do you like to read?  I must say it is one of my favorite past times…even if I fall asleep when I do it before bed.

Then these things started happening…..When I turned 40 my arms simply were not long enough. Then I had to transfer from just reading glasses to the tri focal version.  And now at 57, they are the first thing I grab in the morning. In fact…let’s see a show of hands…who has gotten into the shower with them on? Or better yet, pushed them up on your nose only discover that you have already removed them and they are not on!!!!

Well glasses certainly make the words clearer, and quite frankly, everything else I lay eyes on! All these things appear larger than they really are…but they indeed are true in image and focus.

I am so grateful for the ability to actually see better.  Looking through these glasses really gives me  a better perspective of what I am looking at.

I contend that the Father gives us His eyes if we allow Him to do so. If we see personal problems and issues of this world through His eyes, somehow they become so much clearer.  They don’t go away, and we still might not understand.  But I have found that I can deal with personal problems with much different “vision”.

Jesus gets it folks. When no one else understands, He does. He sees it with clarity, and although we may not really understand, we can always trust Him. I know from experience.

So I need my glasses. I am grateful with the “clarity” in which I now see…and hope to always see.

I love Jesus. If I say nothing else, that is enough. But for those curiosity seekers, I am a 57 year old former special education teacher, current part time CCM Radio Announcer who is married to her high school sweetheart. We have been together for 41 years, married 38 of those years! We have raised two sons, who are now married, have jobs and mortgages. We have our furry son, a West Highland Terrier. It wasn't always easy, and I like sharing some insights from those "mommy" and "teaching" years. I also want to encourage people in their daily life. I believe that the Father speaks to us all the time, sometimes I have been too busy to listen. Even during times of trials and troubles, He is ever present. ~Be Encouraged Today~
