Happy Anniversary

Just wondering where this last year went?

Change that…wondering where the last 38 years went?  We have been together 41 years and it seems like yesterday.  But alas, we look at our pictures and realize that it truly was that long ago.

Life together.  It is not perfect.  We are not always happy.  But we are content.  We love each other more today than we did yesterday (cue Elvis song, Ku’uipo from Blue Hawaii)

Each season of life has brought it’s challenges. And without the love of God and His constant love and help it would be so hard. My goodness, it is still hard!  But the Father never leaves us stranded.

I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else.

  1. Oh congratulations! What a wonderful tribute to marriage and so true! Marriage isn’t always smooth but the trials should strengthen the bonds that keep you together. May you have many, many more my friends! Someday I hope you travel through NE Ohio and we meet on this side of Heaven. P.S. (I’d either forgotten or didn’t realize you had been married for so long – you still look twenty years younger. Guess that’s what a happy, godly life does! Happy Anniversary. ❤

    1. Thanks so much Ellie! I would love for us to meet on this side of heaven as well. Pray for me as I put the finishing touches on my “novella”. I hope to get it finished soon! Merry Christmas dear one….may you and yours have a delightful holiday!

        1. Oh that would be wonderful. I would love to let you read it before I submit it, if you would like to and if you have time. I have had a couple of friends do this, but not someone who has written and published. If so, let me know…and if not, that is totally, completely ok! Again, thank you.

  2. This is simply beautiful and inspiring. Congratulations to both of you and may you have many more blessed years together. I love your little message. Marriage is certainly not for the fainthearted but with God, there’s abundance of grace. Time certainly flies and it still surprises me that I’ve been married for 17 years.
