1, 2……8, 9, 10….Ready or not…here I come!
I was thinking about that child hood game the other day. Does it ring a bell with you?
If memory serves me well (which is often up for debate), I played that a lot with my brother and school mates. And I remember playing with my sons when they were little. My word….I have even played with my dog, Oscar (don’t judge). Although he cannot count, he will still come looking.
Often times I would get so upset when I could not find the “hider”. And if I couldn’t find them they could race to base and be safe. Or was that another game?
But I was thinking how glad I was that the Father did not hide when I was looking for Him. I am so grateful that I don’t have to count and say “Ready or not, here I come!”
He is always ready. He is never “not” ready.
And He is always there.
He doesn’t hide from me. And I cannot hide from Him. Even though sometimes I have tried to hide from Him. He is literally in every hiding place I have ever tried.
He is always available, always there to comfort me, teach me, listen to me and love me.
I seek Him and He will be found. Those are His rules, not mine and I am so glad.
Now excuse me while I go get in the bathroom…Oscar wants to play!

Thank you dear friend for reading. I love when the Father reminds me of simple Truths that are often forgotten and that I need to be reminded of myself!

I love the way you tied a spiritual truth into simplicity. Remind me of parables which were often used.

Thank you for reading…the gospel indeed should not be complicated. I have often done that very thing. I require simplicity myself! Blessings to you and yours!
