Change is inevitable.
Most of the time I like it. I totally cleaned and rearranged the top of my kitchen cabinets one day while the hubby was at a basketball game. It was easier that way. He doesn’t necessarily like change. I used some of the same stuff, and didn’t spend one penny! I simply “grouped” and got rid of fake greenery encasing it.
He came home and knew something was different, but he thought I had moved the furniture. And he didn’t want me to do it because of my bad hip…he was justified in being concerned
Some change I deem necessary. Coloring my grey hair….Learning not to push myself when my head says “you are still 25, you can do this” and my body reminds me “you are actually 55 and no, you can not do this like you use to”.
And we all need to change clothes occasionally.
But some change I do not like. I don’t like when loved ones are no longer around. I don’t like being sick. I am not terribly fond of the change in tax laws, or changing tires.
Don’t even get me started on the weather!
But what is the wonderful, glorious, precious, gracious thing that doesn’t change?
Yep. You guessed it…
God’s love for you. He loves you whether you change or not. He loves you no matter what color your hair is…or even if you only change your clothes occasionally!
I believe with all my heart that if we believers grasp that, we hold on to that, we share that….
He can change the world through us…one person at a time.
And that kind of change is great.
IN CHRIST ALONE~
