There is currently a movie out that I believe is important and having a major impact.

It is not about global warming. It is not political. It does not preach. It does not condemn.

It is about prayer. It is about battle.

It is called WAR ROOM. It was the number one movie at the box office last weekend.

That says a lot to me.

For such a time as this….

I recommend this movie for the entire family. It was a reminder to me of past memories and past battles. Battles that have been fought on my knees. A reminder of the sweet lady who mentored me as a young mother and wife.

This scripture is something I have been thinking of for several weeks.  And one that I was reminded of while I watched this movie.  Esther was put in a position for a reason.

We are being reminded of something very important….

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

I know that teaching our children about prayer is one of the most important things we can do…and in my humble opinion this movie provides an opportunity to teach that very thing or provide a springboard for discussion.

Is this truly a movie for “such a time as this?”
