FREEDOM!!  Happy 4th of July!

How many ways can it be declared? How many ways can it be discussed?

We live in the United States of America and we are free. We are free. Let that sink in.

We complain about a lot…and I am one of the chiefs, but we are free.

And I mean really free. I live in a country where I can travel about as I wish, wear any type of clothes I want to wear, marry whom I wish, go to college, have a big family or no family, eat what I like…the list goes on and on.

But the freedom that I cherish…most of all…is my freedom in Christ.

Because of Jesus Christ I am truly free. Free from the eternal death that would face me if I He had not died on the cross. Free to live this life, with all the pain and suffering, hurt and humiliation, and anger….but free to do so with the help of the comforter, the Holy Spirit.

I am free, free indeed.

John 8:36
 “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
