I looked upon the waters.

I do not deny that being on the beach listening to the ocean waves hit the shore has always brought me peace. I could literally sit there for days. And days.

But I have discovered something. Over the last couple of years we have visited many of the beautiful locations in our area.  As I glance through the pictures I have taken, I have discovered….being near a body of water evidently brings peace to my soul.

I know that scripture refers to “living water” many times over and that the Bible is full of images that have water symbolizing new life, fulfillment of the promises of God and cleansing.

Even the psalmist said in Psalm 23….”The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters”……

I know that this may all seem very simple and elementary…but right now that is maybe what we need. Simple and Elementary

The Father’s peace. We all want it…and how precious of Him to allow us our own personal ways of access.

I do not know what you are battling on a personal level. You might be disappointed in someone, dealing with a sick loved one, or even sickness yourself; whatever you are dealing with…please know that God’s peace is for you. He will remind you in the most personal ways….

It might even be through the waters…..
