I do not like spiders. At all. Any kind, any shape, any size.

Surgery and hospital stays? Forget about it!

The little guy started a new school in a new town…the butterflies in his stomach feel real.

And of course the obvious…. the state of our world with all the terrorism….and all “stuff” that clogs our news feeds!

There are many things that make us a bit fearful. But Hebrews 13:5-6 tells us something that is so important when we are experiencing these changes.

The word NEVER is one of my favorite in these scriptures. It translates to a word that is five times more powerful than it appears. In other words…NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER will He leave you! LEAVE means to leave behind, abandon, send back, disregard.

So that scripture is really:
“Never, never, never, never, never will I abandon you or leave you in a helpless state!!”

I don’t know how that makes you feel friends, but that brings much comfort into this heart.

 

 

Even if you don’t “feel” Him, He is there….in the midst of the fear, the change, the pain. Trust His word…….

I still don’t like spiders, but at least I know I am not alone in that room with it!
