Bad becomes Good…

Bad becomes Good.

What? How can something bad ever become something good? Well, in God’s economy it can.

I have written in an earlier blog about the dericho that destroyed our home five years ago today. It was one of those things that is forever etched in your memory bank. I think when I am old, this is one of the stories I will tell my great-grandchildren!!

It was not pleasant. It was bad. It was not fun. I don’t want to go through it again. But it became good.

We had lived in our home over 23 years and needless to say, it needed some work. We needed new windows, siding, kitchen cabinets, flooring, furnace. We “wanted” and better back porch and some upgrades. But we talked about it for a couple of years and we were not sure how we could do all we needed, much less wanted to do.

But we did. All of it.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

A bad situation, which caused an inconvenience in our life to say the least…became the very circumstance that allowed us to do all we needed, and wanted to do to the house. We just had to put into practice the trust we said we had in the Father. Our teachings, what we believed…was actually put to test. Did we believe what we said we believed?

We knew that God would meet our needs. That is His promise. We chose to believe Him. We didn’t know that we would get some “wants” taken care of…and even if we did not…it would have been ok.

We’ve all been there…in life circumstances that hurt. They are not comfortable, they cause pain. But we must trust Him. In some way, and we might not see it when we want to…but the bad can become good. God can use it to glorify himself.

And we give Him all the glory.

What is good in your life?

Be Blessed~
IN CHRIST ALONE
