worship | Encouragement for Today

Like so many of you, we are following all the CDC guidelines addressing this horrible virus. Due to my asthma and the severe attack I had four weeks ago, I have been keeping myself at home, for a week now.

But the last several mornings, I have woke up and for a moment thought all of this was a bad dream. Anyone else?

This morning the same thing…but the song I woke up to was Natalie Grant’s latest song: “My Weapon”

She wrote this song based on Joshua 1:9….the Lord reminded me yet again…He is Here!

Then a bird sang outside our window at the end of the song, in the dark. And stopped as quickly as he began.

Then immediately after, Focus on the Family interviewed Dr. Collins, head of the NIH, and he answered so many questions, prayed for us AND quoted Joshua 1:9

Later today I was on Facebook, and a friend is doing videos every day of scripture readings. Do you want to guess?

We are always looking for a deal on our cell phone plans. An “unlimited plan” is always the goal with a great price.

To obtain the necessary information when you need it with no limits on how much or how often. To have unlimited access to call or text anyone on your contact list.

We already have it.

I am not talking about any of those major cell phone companies, or even the ones that advertise to the “vintage crowd” such as me.

You probably know where I am going with this…God seems to always use the very simple things in life to speak to my heart or confirm what I already know to be true. He knows that I need that sometimes.

We have “unlimited data” and “unlimited access” to our heavenly Father. We can talk to Him anytime, night or day. We are never told how much or how often. I don’t have to worry about charges, that debt has been paid.

How is that for an “unlimited plan?”

Pretty simple, huh? Sometimes simple is good. No complications, no definitions, no arguments…and no customer service reps to have to go through.

There is a song playing right now that has spoken to my heart like none other has in a very long time. It is pretty simple. It acknowledges who God is and how we worship HIM.

So as simple as it seems, the unlimited plan we have with our God is amazing. Don’t complicate it.

He loves us. And when we surrender to that love, embrace and believe it….He can love others through us.

It is that simple.

I am going to keep taking advantage of this unlimited plan, how about you?
