Grey Skies and Sunshine

I will be the first to admit that I am not terribly fond of grey days.  It seems there have been more of them this winter than usual.  At least it seems that way.

I had to run errands today and was on a parking lot lamenting yet another grey sky.

I looked up and all around was grey, grey and more grey.  I rolled the cart to the bay and turned back around saunter back to my grey-blue car.

“Look Up.”  Two simple words in my spirit that had my eyes turning up over a building.

It was there.  The sun. I even took a picture.

It was not shining brightly, nor was it truly recognizable.  But it was there.

Behind the grey, the hurting, the pain, the rain, the storm, the winds that blow….the Sun was still there.

Yes, it was hard to see.  But it was that gentle reminder I personally needed so badly.  Life can get tough sometimes, and you can feel like you are totally surrounded by grey.

But Look Up.  You might just see a glimpse behind that cloud.  

A reminder that He is right there in the midst of it all.

  1. Well, not fond of grey days is another point we have in common, 🙂 By this time 3 weeks from now, we’ll be basking in the Florida sun once again. A little drastic I know, but . . . it’ll provide an opportunity to visit you sometime in the future!!! God’s always in control and only has our best interests at heart. It’s nice to know we’ll meet sooner or later. So glad to hear you’re overcoming and getting stronger. ❤

    1. Whoo-Hoo!! I am so excited for you. I am going to try to find your email address and write you personally. I wish you well, Florida sun for us in a couple of months as we take a vacation with our son, daughter in law and granddaughter! Cannot wait! God is so good.

      1. Thanks so much, I bet we’ll see you sooner than later!!! This week we are having a massive moving sale and the weather is not cooperating at all! It’s 35 degrees, overcast and windy. Who’s going to want to come to that? Need prayer for a successful day or we’ll have to have another next Saturday, on my birthday. (post unhappy face here.) ❤
